Does VIP Wales protect my payments?

Yes we do and we fully comply with the Package Travel Regulations 1992. We work with Protected Trust Services (PTS) who operate a trust account, which the monies are paid into. PTS make sure that in the very unlikely event that there is financial failure, all deposits and balance payments will be refunded to you – click here for more information.

Can we walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and also the Preseli Hills?

Yes we are happy to tailor a holiday that encompasses walks in both beautiful areas. Please let us know when you enquire and we will set you on the right path.

Can I bring my child on a trip?

Yes of course you can and we can provide some fantastic walks for every age and ability. For further details please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes and it’s a great place to bring your pet. We have a select number of accommodation providers that have dog friendly rooms, so please let us know when you initially get in touch so we can plan your trip accordingly. Note that most hotels will charge for dogs to stay (usually £5-£15 per night).

On the walks we kindly ask that you abide by the Countryside Code – click here for more information.

What clothing and equipment do I need to bring?

A suggested kit list is sent to everyone who books a holiday with VIP Wales. We can also send one on request, should you like to view it before you book.

Do you carry/move our luggage between each overnight stop?

If you book the Place to Place package then we will move 1 piece of luggage up to 18 Kilos in weight per person and transport it between you accommodations as part of your package. We kindly ask that you leave your luggage at your accommodation in the morning after check out and it will then be waiting for you on arrival at the B&B that evening. Any extra bags can be transported (at an additional charge) as long as they are pre-booked.

We offer a storage service for extra luggage not needing to be transported for this holiday. Please contact us for a quotation. We can also offer a luggage service independently, even if you didn’t book your holiday with us. Please contact us for our prices.

What do I have to carry on my walks?

If you are having your luggage transported and you’re on a self-guided holiday, then all you need to carry is a small day sack to hold your waterproofs, personal items, packed lunch, map, guidebook and camera.

If you’re on a guided walk then we will look after your packed lunch for you, so you can relax, enjoy the walk and make sure you have very little to worry about other than the photographs you are going to take.

Are VIP Wales guides qualified and first aid trained?

All VIP Wales guides are qualified by the Mountain Training Association as Lowland Leaders. As part of this qualification each guide had to complete and pass an assessment in outdoor First Aid.

How do I get to the start of my holiday and back from the end?

We will provide you with information and guidance on how to get to the start of your holiday, but you will need to make the actual arrangements yourself.

On our Place to Place holidays, when you have completed the walk, on the morning of your departure we can come and collect you and return you to your start point. A small fee will be charged for this service.
